Windward Islands Airways International (WINAIR) has discontinued its services to Curacao and Aruba as the effects of COVID-19 continue to cause negative consequences on the regional population.
The discontinuation goes into effect from July 14 (today).
In a statement, WINAIR says it can no longer support flights to Aruba/ Curacao due to extremely low load factors on its aircraft. The airline continues to move forward in the region cognisant that the uncertainty in its historic markets remains a challenge.
WINAIR states that it continues to serve Saba, Statia, St Barth and Antigua from its hub in SXM.
In these difficult times, WINAIR says it remains committed to working within the region to re-establish reliable, safe and consistent service.
