An elderly man was killed in an accident involving a motorbike in St Kitts and Nevis.
The accident involved 81-year-old Conrad Simon who was a pedestrian and motorcyclist Rae Clarke.
It occurred in the vicinity of the Queen Victoria Roundabout yesterday afternoon.
The Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force said prelimiary reports indicate Clarke was travelling along Cayon Street when Simon stepped down from the sidewalk into the road in the vicinity of the pedestrian crossing on Pond Road.
While heading east onto Pond Road, Clarke collided with Simon.
Clarke received a cut and minor bruises on his feet, while Simon who was taken to the JNF General Hospital, sucummbed to his injuries.
An autopsy will be performed to determine his exact cause of death.
Clarke has not been arrested and charged. However, if found guilty he could face up to five years in prison.
