Gia Castillo from Belize has her own business called Gia's Tie-Dye World.

There are truly extra-ordinary children in the world and one girl in Belize already has a colourful start to her journey as a young entrepreneur.

On World Children’s Day we celebrate and acknowledge the innovation, imagination and determination of children as they also manage their way through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Gia Castillo, who is 11 years-old from the Cayo District in Belize has her very own business called ‘Gia’s Tie-Dye World.’

Gia Castillo works on her tie-dye creations.

In a video, Gia explains that she lives on a farm with her family and has always had a passion for art.

When schools closed in May due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she was online when she came across Tik Tok videos of people doing tie-dye.

Gia approached her mom to do it and the rest was history. She has since received heavy support from her family and friends with her new business venture.

Apart from t-shirts, Gia also tie-dyes eco-bags, sets, masks and hats.

Interested persons can check out Gia’s Tie-Dye World on Facebook and Instagram.
