Grenada has been keeping up with the accomplishments of one of its own abroad, Grenadian-British Formula One racing driver, 35-year-old Lewis Hamilton.

He racked up his 92nd win in the Portuguese Grand Prix on Sunday. Hamilton is now the most successful driver in terms of victories in Formula One history.

His recent accomplishment did not go unnoticed by Prime Minister of Grenada Dr Keith Mitchell who wrote on Facebook:

“Congratulations Lewis Hamilton. This is an excellent achievement. Your relentless commitment to excellence has earned you this recognition. I wish you continued success.”

Other Grenadians on social media wished him congratulations. One commenter said: “Congratulations keep pushing.”

The UK-born Formula One racer is of Grenadian heritage through his dad Anthony Hamilton.
