For Naasira Mohammed, cricket, more specifically West Indies cricket, is life!

She told us she first fell in love with the sport when she was just a little girl and vowed that some day, some how she would be a part of the well-oiled machine that is West Indies Cricket.

That dream was realised in 2018, when after working a number of years as a Sports Journalist, she was appointed Media Officer for the Men’s Cricket Team.

The first woman to hold that position in the 93-year history of the West Indies Men’s team, Naasira said it was a position she held with pride.

Today Naasira is the Media Officer for the West Indies Women’s team.

She travels with the team and relishes the opportunity to do match reports, develop content and build brand awareness by curating and sharing the stories of the regional cricketers.

This is Naasira’s story.
