COVID-19: Grenadian cruise ship workers test negative
Nineteen Grenadian crew members from Caribbean Princess Cruise Lines have been reunited with their families after they were medically cleared for the novel coronavirus.
The Ministry of Health in a statement says these repatriated crew members had arrived in Grenada arrived on May 9.
As per the Ministry’s health protocols, they were tested upon arrival, and again, upon completion of their 14-day mandatory quarantine, and all tests were negative.
The crew member nationals are now reunited with their families.
The Ministry says it continues to actively monitor all other nationals who have been repatriated from the various cruise ships and are still in quarantine facilities.
As of May 22, Grenada has recorded 22 confirmed COVID-19 cases.
Four cases remain active and 17 persons have recovered from the virus.
