All Air Belgium flights to Guadeloupe and Martinique have been cancelled after the islands were declared red zones for coronavirus infections by Belgian authorities.

The airline said another factor in its decision to suspend flights are the numerous restrictions on travellers such as limited access to beaches and the requirement for anyone entering or exiting the French territories to carry out a RT-PCR test

“Nonetheless, the good news is that the latest indicators suggest that the islands will welcome visitors again in a safe and pleasant environment, in the coming weeks,” Air Belgium said as it stated that flights will resume on December 15th, 2020.

Passengers, who have already book their flights can select a new date by emailing their requests to rebooking@airbelgium.com.
