The prospect of working while vacationing in a beautiful Caribbean island is all the rage now thanks to Barbados’ Welcome Stamp permit that allows visitors to stay and work remotely for one year.
Workations, as remote work while travelling is called, has been a growing trend pre-COVID-19 but with many countries and hotels searching for ways to attract tourists during the pandemic, it is now an integral marketing tool.
Along with Barbados, Anguilla and Bermuda have also opened their doors for long-term visitors with year-long residency visas to work and study while visiting.
Many hotels and resorts have jumped into the trend too with special offers for those who want to do work from home or remote education in an exotic locale.
Here are some hotels in the region that are offering Workation specials. Before you fly anywhere, please make sure you are aware of all COVID-19 travel protocols in your country and your intended destinations.
