The eye of Hurricane Paulette has moved away from Bermuda but the island continues to be impacted by dangerous weather conditions.

The Bermuda Weather Service (BWS) expects these conditions to continue into the mid-morning.

BWS said Hurricane Paulette has been downgraded to a Category Two storm.

At 8am AST, the centre of Hurricane Paulette was located about 40 miles (65 km) north of Bermuda.

“Please stay hunkered down Bermuda. Latest radar imagery shows we still have some bands of heavy weather to our south that are yet to come through,” BWS said in a Facebook post.
