Bahamas: Cabinet ministers quarantined after being exposed to COVID-19

All Ministers of Government in The Bahamas have been cleared of COVID-19. 

A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister said on September 29 they were exposed to the virus after coming into contact with Minister Romauld Ferreira who tested positive for the virus. 

Every member of Cabinet who was in close quarters with Ferreira have tested negative but according to the statement, will continue to self-quarantine. 

Prime Minister Dr Hubert Minnis was also tested.

His result came back negative.

According to the statement: “The Prime Minister was not directly exposed to Minister Ferreira and was not required to quarantine. Out of an abundance of caution the Prime Minister was tested for COVID-19.”

All Ministers will continue to work remotely and continue to be fully engaged with their ministries.
