50 COVID-related deaths in The Bahamas, confirmed cases now 2386

The Bahamas Ministry of Health recorded 49 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday.

This brought the total number of confirmed cases to 2386.

The breakdown of new cases by islands is as follows:

  • New Providence 28
  • Grand Bahama 13
  • Abaco 8

Three new COVID- related deaths were recorded in the territory, bringing the number of virus-related deaths to 50.

The deceased are:

  • A 66-year-old woman from Grand Bahamas
  • A 62-year-old man from Grand Bahama
  • An 81-year-old woman also from Grand Bahama.

Thirteen deaths are still being investigated.

There are 1423 active cases of COVID-19 in The Bahamas, 77 of the infected individuals are being treated at the hospital.
