1510 active COVID cases in The Bahamas, 65 deaths recorded

Ninety-three cases of COVID-19 were recorded in The Bahamas on Thursday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 93.

According to data provided by the Ministry of Health, the breakdown of new cases by island is as follows:

  • New Providence 1
  • Grand Bahama 2
  • Inagua 1

The location for one confirmed case is still pending.

Two women ages 73 and 67 were the latest to die as a result of COVID-related complications.

They were both residents of New Providence.

The territory's death toll now stands at 65.

The Health Ministry said 11 deaths are currently under investigation.

At present, there are 1510 active cases of COVID-19 in The Bahamas.
